All of our members have a story to tell about their experiences with our club. That is our history, be it good, bad, funny, sad, exciting, or just plain hard work or boring everyday stuff. It's all part of the club history. Each of us holds a piece of the club in our hearts as the club holds each of us in its fellowship.
Little stories like these tell our history, and we should have that written down. We can store it here, since it tends to get lost when its all in one box and passed around. We can bring out some of those old photo's, scan them and then build a story around them. And guess what? If we send them to the cor. sec. so she and the President can read thru them that catches them up a little bit, the board can sift thru them to give approval for them to go on the web site, because that really has to be done folks. But, all the stories should be put up, as long as they are not hurtful to anyone, even if its not the best written - its still the authors story and a part of our club history.
AND, because we are always so competitive, maybe we could have a contest of some sort. Best story of the month can be featured on the home page or a one month free ad on the front page - the board can make a plan and then we're off an runnin'.
*Request from the web master. All stories will need to be in a word or wordperfect document. Each story should be limited to no more than 2 word document pages, up to 4 pictures can be included on the site with the story.
*Another type of "History" would be someone researching all our BOB/BOSBOB/High In Trial/High Scoring/High Combined Score/ Winners Bitch & Winners Dogs - these winners can be listed on a page or two.

How about a history of our Trophies, remember those big, beautiful, out of the past real dog show trophies. Doris & Chuck Farrell retired one of them recently. Patti Comeau had the other one. Arnold Conroy made the boxes that kept them safe from harm.
OK, now we need volunteers to gather all this, prepare it for the site, so now everyone can have a way to contribute and become a part of "history" and a part of the site. Each contribitor will be credited with the page content. Its a project for non board members to complete, the board should just be checking it before it goes up on the web site.
